Adult Psychotherapy

Nicoles practices a client-centered therapy approach by Carl R. Rogers, which has shown the best results in the field of long-term personality change. Nicole works with her clients on the basis of equal partnership and guide them on the journey towards increasing the quality of their experiences, and helps them to orient themselves in their internal and external worlds. In individual psychotherapy sessions, Nicole provides the safest and least evaluative environment possible with focus on a personal approach and unconditional acceptance of a client.

Nicole is driven by belief that every person has a self-actualizing tendency (in simplified terms, the ability to heal oneself and take a path that is most suitable for them). This self-actualizing tendency begins to be fulfilled when suitable conditions are created. Nicole's mission as a psychologist and psychotherapist is to fulfill these conditions so that healthy self-understanding can develop in the client and they can begin to abandon behaviors that cause them psychological problems.

Nicole ensures the quality of her work through regular supervision. All sessions between Nicole and a client are strictly confidential. as she is bound by the principle of confidentiality about all the facts that she learns during psychotherapy.

Child Psychotherapy

During Nicole's studies, she worked at the Child and Family Well-being Clinic in Miami, Florida, where she specialized in treating tics, Tourette's syndrome, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in children. Nicole considers this experience very valuable because she learned a treatment approach based on the latest scientific findings. When working with children, I use comprehensive behavioral therapy and work with them in the same way as children with tic disorders and OCD are treated at specialized clinics. I have over two thousand hours of professional practice.

Nicole treats children with the following disorders:

  • Tics and Tourette's syndrome
  • Phobias
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder

Nicole provides comprehensive care for children with tics and Tourette's syndrome. As part of the therapy, Nicole also addresses other conditions such as poor concentration, anxiety, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, and more.

Regular contact with one or both parents of the child is an essential part of child therapy, leading to better treatment outcomes.
